May 9th - Erythromelalgia Awareness Day

English menu

On May 9th 2018, it is said that Erythromelalgia Awareness Day is celebrated for the first time in the city of Boston. People quickly mobilized to raise funds and inform the population about this rare disease largely unknown to the public.

Note that on May 9th, the Catholic religion commemorates
St. Beatus de Lungern, an apostle who is said to have defeated a dragon in a cave near Lake Thun in Switzerland. Even today, we can visit this cave near which he would have been buried and I like to think that it is not a coincidence if this apostle is celebrated on May 9th.

If he could defeat a fire dragon, so can we!
